Howard Litwin is a Professor and former Dean at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work & Social Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also the founding Director of the Israel Gerontological Data Center, the Country Team Leader for the Israeli component of SHARE, and the Coordinator of the social networks area for the SHARE project in Europe. His empirical research studies the correlates of wellbeing among older people. Mainly, his work seeks to clarify how social networks and social environment relate to health, perceptions, feelings and behaviours in late life.
